Position: Manager – Treasury, Trading, and Portfolio Management
Level: Four (4) – Fixed Term
Reports to: General Manager
Job Summary:
FHC Investments Limited Jamaica is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Manager – Treasury, Trading & Portfolio Management to play a pivotal role in aggressively growing the revenues of the company. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s financial assets, investments and trading operations to ensure sustained growth and profitability while aligning with the company’s vision of becoming a world-class financial institution.
The core functions of this position are as follows:-
- Treasury Management:
- Oversee and manage the company’s liquidity, cash flow, and funding requirements.
- Develop and execute strategies to optimize working capital and manage financial risks associated with treasury operations.
- Portfolio Management:
- Grow and manage FHC Retirement Scheme (FHCRS Pension Fund), FHCIL’s Proprietary portfolio and Managed Client Portfolios.
- Implement best practices in risk management, ensuring that portfolio strategies are robust in managing market volatility, credit risks, and other external factors.
- Trading and Market Analysis:
- Develop and manage trading strategies in various asset classes including equities, fixed income, and foreign exchange.
- Manage and optimize trading systems to improve execution speed, reduce costs, and enhance profitability.
- Profitability & Growth Strategy:
- Recommend and implement a comprehensive strategy that focuses on profitability and sustainable growth.
- Identify and exploit new revenue-generating opportunities through investment vehicles, trading strategies, and innovative financial products.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field (MBA or professional certifications such as CFA, FRM is an advantage).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in treasury management, trading, and portfolio management.
Must be eligible and able to obtain licensing with the Financial Services Commission (FSC).
Required Skills and Specialized Techniques:
Strong understanding of financial instruments, investment products, and trading strategies.
- Demonstrated success in managing high-performance teams and driving business growth.
- In-depth knowledge of regulatory requirements in financial markets.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership capabilities with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Advanced financial modelling and quantitative analysis skills.
- Expertise in risk management and financial risk mitigation strategies.
- Proficient in trading platforms, portfolio management systems, and financial analysis software.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong strategic thinking and an innovative approach to financial management.
Special Conditions Associated with the Job:
- Required to work beyond normal working hours at times
- Ability to work under pressure and on own initiative
